GEOTHERMAL ENERGY FEASIBILITY STUDY
Conducted feasibility study of retrofitting campus residence hall with geothermal heat pump system. Identified existing steam heating system, reviewed USDOE case studies, calculated $360,000 in annual avoided emissions costs, estimated a $1.8 million construction cost, and determined a 22-year payback period.
